A word from the artist

I am a southern Utah based photographer and I love capturing the world around us. My photographs have a natural feel and my focus is wide open landscapes as well as the details and abstractions that appear. I refer to my work as Artscapes because I feel that this word encompasses more than just landscapes. My work includes landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, nightscapes, and others.

• Sunrise Eclipsed — In April 2024, I travelled to Monument Valley in hopes of catching the solar eclipse. The weather had other ideas. I woke up on the morning of the 8th and realized I wouldn't be seeing much, if any, of the sky that day. While the original plan was thwarted, the cloud cover offered another spectacular alternative. A beautiful sunrise.
• Sunrise Eclipsed B&W — In April 2024, I travelled to Monument Valley in hopes of catching the solar eclipse. The weather had other ideas. I woke up on the morning of the 8th and realized I wouldn't be seeing much, if any, of the sky that day. While the original plan was thwarted, the cloud cover offered another spectacular alternative. A beautiful sunrise. Converting this image to black and white provides a different level of moodiness.
